Code of Conduct

The Confidential Project

Code of Conduct:

The Confidential Project (TCP) is committed to providing a professional, safe, and respectful environment for all participants. By attending TCP open classes, private lessons or events, all dancers as well as faculty and collaborators agree to uphold the following Code of Conduct.

1. Professional Conduct

All participants are expected to behave professionally at all times. This includes punctuality, preparedness, respectful communication, and appropriate behaviour toward teachers, staff, and fellow dancers.

2. Respect, Inclusion & Bullying

TCP is an inclusive space. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or disrespectful behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. TCP reserves the right to remove any participant who compromises the safety or wellbeing of others.

The Confidential Project has zero tolerance for bullying in any form. Bullying includes repeated or serious behaviour that is intimidating, threatening, humiliating, or harmful, whether verbal, physical, psychological, or online. Any participant found to be engaging in bullying behaviour may be removed from classes or lessons and may be denied future participation, at the discretion of TCP leadership.

3. Commitment & Participation

Participants are expected to fully engage in class and follow instructions provided by TCP teachers and staff. Disruptive behaviour, persistent lateness, or failure to follow class guidelines may result in removal from class without refund.

4. Physical & Mental Wellbeing

Participants are responsible for their own physical and mental wellbeing. Injuries, medical conditions, or limitations must be disclosed to the instructor prior to class or private lessons. TCP is not liable for injuries sustained during participation.

5. Training Environment

A positive and focused learning environment is essential. Participants are expected to receive corrections respectfully and refrain from negative commentary, gossip, or behaviour that disrupts the class experience for others. TCP faculty is to give corrections and feedback in an engaging, positive and constructive manner.

6. Confidentiality

Choreography, creative concepts, teaching material, and internal discussions shared during classes or private lessons are confidential and may not be recorded, reproduced, or distributed without prior consent from TCP.

7. Anti-Defamation

Participants must not engage in defamatory conduct toward TCP, its directors, teachers, staff, or other participants. This includes false, misleading, or damaging statements made verbally, in writing, or on social media. TCP reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to any defamatory behaviour.

8. Photography, Videography & Media Use

TCP may photograph or record video during open classes and private lessons for promotional, archival, or educational purposes. By participating, individuals consent to the use of their image and likeness in TCP marketing materials, including social media, website content, and promotional campaigns.

If a participant does not wish to be photographed or recorded, this must be communicated to TCP staff prior to the commencement of class.

9. Representation of TCP

Participants are expected to represent TCP respectfully in public and online spaces. Any public association with TCP should align with the company’s values of professionalism, respect, and integrity.

10. Enforcement

TCP reserves the right to refuse entry, remove participants from classes or private lessons, or deny future bookings if this Code of Conduct is breached. No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.
